About Velas :-

Velas is a small eco-village in Ratnagiri district which is famous for Olive Ridley turtles that visit the Velas beach every year to lay eggs. At Velas, turtle conservation movement is undertaken by the villagers. Velas is a coastal village which falls in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.

Velas has been attracting nature lovers and travelers more for its Velas turtle festival, Maharashtra since its inception. Hundreds of Olive Ridley Turtles, one of the endangered and most treasured species of marine turtles, come ashore at Velas beach for breeding and lay hundreds of egg.

Besides Velas beach, here are several other tourist attractions at Velas including the Bankot Fort and the Harihareshwar Temple.

Things to Do in Velas :-
Visit Harihareshwar beach and Historical Bankot fort. Witness these turtles taking their first baby steps towards the sea. Authentic Local cuisine

Day 0:
Transportation from Mumbai to Mumbai A/C Transportation
10:00 pm :- Pritam Hotel (Dadar East)
10.20 pm :- K Star Mall Chembur
11.00 pm :- Mcd Kamoboli Panvel

Day 1:

06.00 am :- Reach Velas, Get Fresh & Head to the beach for seeing the hatching and release of turtles.

08:00 am Return back to the village, breakfast and time for leisure.

11:00 am Visit the strategically built Himmatgad Fort which overlooks the sea and the Bankot creek.

01:00 pm Lunch time

03:00 pm Explore the areas around Velas.

06:00 pm Velas Beach for the release of turtles. Fun at the beach.

08:30 pm Dinner. Overnight stay in Velas, fun, games and some rest for sure.

Day 2:

06:00 am Turtle release on Velas Beach

08:30 am Breakfast followed by some leisure time to explore the village

10:00 am Head to Harihareshwar via the Bankot-Bagmandla Ferry boat.

12:00 pm Explore Harihareshwar Beach.

02:00 pm Lunch at Harihareshwar And continue our journey towards Mumbai.

08:00 pm Reach Mumbai and make a promise to meet soon.

Participants are requested to carry the waste back to the city and dispose it off in dustbins.
If the Trek/Hiking/Camp participant misbehaves causing inconvenience or annoyance to any other participant in a group or causes damage to the property of the company; he/ she will be asked to leave the event immediately.
A proper trekking/sports shoes having a good grip will be preferable.
Any Kind of Insurance is not included in the Event Charges.

An adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather. In case of occurrence of any natural calamities, if event is cancelled, in such circumstances no refund will be provided.
