Night Trek To Garbett Plateau

Garbett Plateau is one of the most scenic treks of Maharashtra. Situated close to Matheran, it has survived heavy commercialization and remains to be relatively untouched by humans.

Escape the city life and head into the serenity of the hills as we walk along the Dhom lake and cross through hidden villages on this trek. We will be hiking this trail through the darkness of the night and reaching the summit just in time for sunrise, making the view from the top worthwhile and absolutely dramatic!

• Summit height: 2625 ft
• Total distance: 8 km (approx)
• Duration: 1 night

Detailed Itinerary:

• 11:00 am: Board the 11:18 pm Khopoli (Fast) from CST on Saturday night and meet Team Bhatakna at Bhivpuri Station @ 01:00am
• 01:30 am: Head towards base village. (Diksal)
• 02:00 am: Head towards Garbett Plateau after a short introduction round! On our way, we will cross the massive Dhom lake and a few rustic villages. Feel free to pull out your cameras to capture the majestic night sky.
• 05:15 am: Reach Garbett Plateau and relax for a while. We wait until the sunrise illuminates the entire surroundings giving us a magnificent panaromic view of the mountain ranges. We summit at night for this sweet sweet sight!
• 06:30 am: Head towards Dasturi naka and board our taxis to Neral station.
• 08:00 am: Time to grab a filling breakfast after this long night's trek!
• 09:00 am: Adios! Back to the mumbai city life. Until next time Bhatakna!

Please note:

• DO NOT miss the 11:18 pm Khopoli Fast from CST station. Feel free to board this train from any other station of your convenience. You miss the trek if you miss the train! 
• Please eat dinner and join us for the trek. Once we start the trek, there will be no amenities for food.
• Do not carry sling bags.
• For those of you who'll be joining for the first time, don't worry, we encourage you to take your time and have a great experience climbing with us. A trek with us isn't about how fast we climb, it's about the experience and memories that we take back home!
