Kalsubai Peak, rising 5400 ft above sea level, is the highest point in Maharashtra and one of the most iconic treks in the Sahyadri range. The trail begins at Bari village and takes around four hours to reach the summit, where a small temple dedicated to Goddess Kalsubai stands.
The night trek is especially rewarding, offering a spectacular sunrise and panoramic views of surrounding forts like Harihar, Brahmagiri, the AMK range, Ratangad, Harishchandragad, and Ghanchakkar. The route includes steep patches equipped with iron ladders for safe ascent.
