Karnala Fort is hill fort. It is situated in Raigad district. Height of Karnala Fort is about 1440 feet/439mtr. Karnala is easy trek and one day trekking spot. Karanala Fort also famous as Karnala Bird Sanctuary. Currently it is protected by forest department of Maharashtra. Karnala fort actually consists of two forts one at a higher level and other lower. At the centre of the higher level is a 125 feet high basalt pillar. It is also called Pandu’s tower. This structure was used as watchtower when the fort was occupied however now it is in a ruined condition. The presence of bee hives also makes it difficult to climb and have resulted in at least one casualty in recent times. There is a water cistern which provides fresh water all year long.

- 6:00am Dadar TT (Meeting Point)
- 6:30am Chembur
- 7:00am Vashi (Under the Bridge)
- 09:00 am – Reach Karnala Bird Sanctuary and have breakfast.
- 10:00 am – Start Trekking towards Karnala fort
- 12.00 pm – Reach top & Explore the fort, click the memories
- 01.00 pm – Start descending.
- 02.30 pm – Reaching the base and Have lunch.
- 03.00 pm – Post Lunch, Start the return journey.

Declaration
- Dear Participants if you are suffering from chronic condition like asthma, bronchitis, blood pressure, migraine, diabetes, joint pain, fracture, ask advice to family doctor before join Trek/any adventure activity.
- Before join event bring your needful medicine as per your doctor suggestion.
- Adventure activity (Trekking, Camping, Rappelling, and Cycling) can be reason of Disability/ Death. In case of any misshape happing; Mumbai Mountain Hikers/ any member of Mumbai Mountain hiker will not be responsible.
- All participant should be careful for bag and own things. If anything misplaced group leader/ Mumbai mountain Hiker will not be responsible.
- Any type of illegal activity, alcohol consumption, gambling, and smoking are keep it away during and before the event.
- On the event trek leader decision will be final decision no argument will be entertain.
- Please don’t garbage here and there on trek/event.
Covid Safety Guidelines
- Stay at home if you are feeling unwell.
- Maintain at least 1 meter distance from others, and wear a mask if you cannot guarantee this distance.
- Cover a sneeze or cough with a tissue or bent elbow, and immediately dispose of tissue in a closed-lid bin. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, or with a hand sanitiser.
- Each member of the group (participants/leaders/ clients & staff) wears protective mask while on interaction with each other. Do carry few unused, disposable masks.
- It is strongly recommended to wear caps, full sleeves shirts and full trousers and shoes for adventure activities. It reduces exposure of your body parts.
- It should be ascertained from the participants that they are not residing / have not travelled in a containment zone and have not come in contact with any person who was tested positive in last 14 days.
- Ascertain whether any participant has any symptoms of Influenza like illness like fever, dry cough, weakness, severe body ache etc. at the time of beginning of activity. If it is so then he/she should be asked not to participate activity and be evacuated on medical grounds and should be asked to report to local health authority with his own expenses.
- Strictly avoid eating gutkha, pan masala, cigarette or sniffing which induces spitting, coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching external surfaces and touching your face when in outdoors.
- If the location of your adventure activity is too crowded then be prepared to leave or wait for the crowd to disperse/for your turn.
- It is mandatory that a participant informs the organisers if he tests positive for Covid within 14 days of returning from adventure activity. It will help the organisers to inform and alert all other persons in the group, so that they can follow the medical/government norms in this regard. Here it is absolutely essential that the participant observes transparency and informs the organisers/group leaders about his Covid test results.
