PlugUnplug feat. Tejas & Friends, Awkward Bong and Aarifah Rebello

We are back with our monthly edition of PlugUnplug featuring Tejas and Friends along with Awkward Bong & Aarifah Eve Rebello.

PlugUnplug is a showcase of some of our favorite musicians and bands in an Unplugged outdoor setting or a Plugged indoor setting.

Tejas

Tejas is a singer-songwriter from India, currently residing in Mumbai. A range of influences including 80’s pop-rock, musical theater, and adult-contemporary songwriters, have developed into Tejas’ unique style of lyric-heavy pop-rock.

Whether it is with his 5 piece band set-up or just him and his guitar, Tejas has adapted different genres of music into his own personal brand which has been staged at the biggest festivals in India including Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, and Mahindra Blues Festival. Tejas’ unique approach to design and social media along with his signature musical style has grown his sizable fan base over the years to make sure his band sets are packed with manic energy and solo sets are filled with quiet listeners. After releasing his debut EP Small Victories in late 2014 he now is ready with his follow-up album soon to be out in 2016.

Awkward Bong

Awkward Bong is Mumbai-based musician Ronit Sarkar's singer-songwriter avatar. Starting out as a solo bedroom project in 2014, the act has now grown into a four-piece band with a lush, organic pop sound.

Aarifah Eve Rebello

Whether it was her humble beginnings working at the local music store, playing drums for numerous bands or her incredibly tasteful vocals, Aarifah is well on the way to becoming a master of all trades. Her knowledge of all areas in music gives her a great advantage and she is primed now to combine all those elements into her solo project. Armed with a handful of heartfelt songs and her refreshingly earnest approach to live performance, Aarifah wins over any audience who can appreciate good, honest songwriting.

Aarifah is currently working on her first double side-A release due in late 2017.
