Event Description

Separating the Assam valley from the plains of Bangladesh, hilly Meghalaya – the ‘abode of clouds’ – is a cool, pine-fresh mountain state set on dramatic horseshoes of rocky cliffs.

Cherrapunjee and Mawsynram are statistically among the wettest places on Earth; most of the rain falls between June and September, creating very impressive waterfalls and carving out some of Asia’s longest caves.

The state’s population predominantly comprises the Jaintia, Khasi and Garo tribes, who live in the eastern, central and western parts respectively. A good time to be in Meghalaya is during the Wangala drum festival in the Garo Hills in autumn.

4 Night/5 Days

Day1: Guwahati Arrival | Guwahati to Cherrapunji

The trip starts from Guwahati airport.
Depart from Guwahati to Cherrapunjee
Enjoy delicacies of North East at a decent restaurant on the way.
Stop over at Mawkdok Viewpoint.
Bask in the mesmerizing views of mountain slopes covered in evergreen forests of Dympep valley
Reach Cherrapunjee by the evening. Get checked into hotels.
Enjoy exquisite dining and get a good night & sleep.

Day2: Living roots bridge | Mawswami Caves | Nohkalikai Waterfalls

Today is gonna be an adventurous day.
Start with early morning breakfast at Cherrapunjee.
Travel to Tyrna village. The start point of the trek to Living roots bridge.
Trek down to Nongriat village and natural marvel of Living Roots bridge.
Take a dip in the water pond under the waterfall at living roots bridge.
Trek back up and get on with the day to Mawsmawi caves.
Mawswami Caves might just make you & ;king under the mountain.
Enjoy the formidability of the caves. Get bedazzled by their grandeur.
End this exciting day at Nohkalikai Falls.
Enjoy a calming sunset with an out of the world view of the Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India.
Get back to the hotel. Enjoy dinner and sleep overnight.

Day3: Dawki | Mawlynnong | Shnongpdeng

Post early breakfast check out and head to Mawlynnong.
The cleanest village in India. Experience the unique culture which has kept it so clean.
Get to know a part of India where cleanliness is not a habit, but rather their culture.
Post lunch head to Shnongpdeng for some water activities.
Experience the adrenaline rush in various water activities at one of the most offbeat places in India.
Check in at the camps at Shnongpdeng.
Dinner & Sleep overnight under the gaze of millions of stars.

Day4: Krang Suri Waterfall | Umiam Lake | Shillong

Get up early and soak in the beautiful sunrise.
Post breakfast and spending some leisure time here, depart for Krang Suri Waterfalls.
Completely offbeat, Krangsuri is a location taken out of mythological waterfalls for Gods.
Take a dip in its pond. Chill with the group at this exotic location.
After heart fulfilling dip at Krangsuri, get on to with journey to Shillong.
Enjoy a drive through misty mountains with serene views full of forests and waterfalls.
Go for café-hoping in Laitumkharah region of Shillong.
Go on a shopping spree in the famous Police bazar.
Visit Umiam Lake. Witness sky being dissolved in its reflection in the lake.
Spend quality time with the group at the lake.Get to hotel and post-dinner, sleep overnight.

Day5: Departure

Post early breakfast, depart from Shillong.
Bid adieu as you drive back to Guwahati airport through mesmerizing landscapes.
Reach Guwahati airport to catch your flight back.
Reach home with a suitcase full of amazing memories and experience of exploring the offbeat
location of such magnificence.

1. Transfer of your bookings to other persons are not allowed, name mentioned at the time of confirmation are the only person will be allowed to travel.

2. Full payment of the trip cost has to be paid before the trip starts, pending payments may lead to cancellation of your trip.

3. No boarding without valid govt id. Your id will be checked before boarding.

4. Any given inclusion not availed by the client will not be refunded in any case.

5. Management shall not take responsibility for missing items during the trip, travelers have to take care of there luggage and belongings.

6. AC will be switched off on hills and during the waiting time. Also, during the trip, it will be driver’s discretion for putting off AC if the road and travel don’t support. This is for traveler’s safety as the route can be dangerous and vehicle may not be able to pull offload with AC running.

7. Departure time is given and is fixed. You have to report by that time, it’s on you to update your status to trip coordinator. Anyone missing the bus will not be entertained for refund etc and it will not be WanderOn’s responsibility. We will try to call you twice before departure.

8. We do not provide any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft or any other reason.

9. We shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the programme or expenses incurred-directly due to natural hazard, accident, the breakdown of machinery, equipment’s, transport, weather condition, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
