StarLab is a project initialised by Bharat from New Delhi, India.
Training in Indian Classical Music laid the musical foundations for Bharat at a very early age. Over the years, as a self-taught Vocalist, Bass & Guitar player he gathered a wealth of experience touring and recording with his band for over a decade until he encountered the hypnotic sound of Psychedelic Trance Music at a beach party in Goa, India. This strongly affected his musical persona after which he began to teach himself synthesis & music production and project StarLab was born.
In 2011 he went to California USA to study music and along with his quickly became a popular DJ in the California scene, gaining a lot of experience playing at many local parties and festivals. On returning to India in 2013 he joined ranks with India’s premier record label Digital Om Productions as Live Act and since then he has gone on to make countless releases with the most well-known record labels and perform in top festivals and venues in India and around the world in USA, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Portugal, France, Germany, Serbia, Croatia, Switzerland, Spain, Thailand, Nepal. These include Main Stage performances in famous festivals such as Universo Paralello - Brazil, Antaris Project- Germany, Shankar Festival- Switzerland, Exit Festival- Serbia, Electric Daisy Carnival – India, Sunburn Festival – Goa, Universal Religion – Nepal, Experience - Thailand and many more.
StarLab has released music with renowned labels such as Digital Om, IONO Music, Techsafari, TesseracTstudio, Sacred Technology and also selected by ASTRIX for his VA compilation Book of Changes on Future Music Records.
Brian Fernandes aka Kerosene CLub / Flipknot /Fibre Stomp is one of India's most respected trance composer/DJ with a fan following spread all over the world. His sets are legendary as well as his diverse taste in other genres of music. His Versatility lies across his different styles. He can send you into the deepest realms of existence to the most pleasant journeys one can embark on.O ne of the few versatile Indian electronic musician who is constantly touring and spreading his sound to the four corners of the world. A Slight peak into his main occupation revolves around manipulating sound frequencies to influence one's brain and one's kneecap and testing it on human specimens in places like India, Japan, Russia, Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Australia, Greece, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Dubai, Nepal etc . He has performed at the Boom Fest, Universo paraello, Ozora, Full moon Fest, Psycrowdelica, Sol Fest etc.. Constantly touring, he is spreading the temple twisting sound like wildfire. He also is the owner of constantly active labels like Temple Twisters(Psychedelic ), Digital Distortion Records(Full on ) and the unseen force behind Tremors undergound Productions and Air Snare records. Discovering fresh talent and giving them a platform along with the seasoned stars of the ever-expanding roster of musicians. He is involved also in side projects full on - Fibre Stomp and a progressive/chill out avatar as Brianoid.
A dedicated, energetic and constantly surprising talent, “Gabaa” is nothing less than a musical Ambassador. A much loved artist to the people and for all the right reasons. Growing up in and around Goa was a boost to his love for Psychedelic Trance music. He started Dj-ing in the year 2007 and his strong talent was waiting to be nurtured.
He’s someone who is deeply involeved in all his productions.
His moniker “Gabaa” is a neuro-transmitter of the nerve cells in the brain and his music is something that activates all the cells in the brain .
With a Kaleidoscopic musical taste, the list of [arties he has put on, played at and danced at are innumerable.
Nitin’s journey in music: Playing all around the countries clubs and bars, honing his skills and developing his style of music. It was on his frequent trips to Goa that he first discovered Goa trance and the vibrant scene that psychedelic music has to offer. From then on it has been a long journey learning the music and the subtle nuances of the style.
Psytrance being his true passion, Nitin has spent the last 14 years of his Career dedicated to this style. He is one of the nation’s foremost trance DJ’s playing some of the biggest parties and festivals around the globe such as SUNBURN GOA, HILLTOP XMAS -NYE-HILLTOP FESTIVAL, UNIVERSAL RELIGION NEPAL, MODEM FESTIVAL CROATIA 2016 and many more.
NITIN has played alongside all the top Psy trance acts in the world to name a few such as ACE VENTURA, ASTRIX, AJJA, SPHONGLE, GMS, NEELIX, TRISTAN and many more the list of which is just too large to mention here. If psytrance is your sound – you will not be disappointed with this dance floor destroyer. An active part of Hilltop Goa which showcases India’s no.1 festival Hilltop festival and the prestigious Hilltop Christmas and the New Years Eve every year.
Currently working on his production and a compilation he is soon getting ready to unleash his creations, Rocking you from side to side – Forwards and Backwards spells one thing – Nitin.
It all started with a sound. The sound that makes you feel comfortable, the sound that makes you feel inspired, makes you feel confident and makes you grow as a person, the project “shugi born” is also made to inspire people, make them appreciate the true light of life and see their emotions of true happiness and ecstasy.
The sound that I play travels from a lot of varied genres of music but the intention stay very clear to make people feel at their best when they are listening to it. The sound that reaches the ear and makes u feel pumped up, relaxed, positive, and giving you an eargasm.
