The turntablist, DJ and sound designer is a pioneer on the decks.

Mixing his own signature sound, DJ Skip possesses a skill set unlike any other, with his unique trickery on the decks. As a DJ who thinks on his feet, he fuses his innovative scratching techniques with diverse genres like Trap, Hip-Hop and Dubstep.

Skip’s sound is versatile and he is not afraid to experiment, refusing to be bound by the confines of one sound. That is the reason he was picked as the national winner of the Red Bull Thre3Style contest in 2011 and
2012 and went onto Chicago to represent India. 

In 2013, Skip was represented India at the IDA World DJ Championships and secured 3rd position worldwide in the show category.

Playing at some of the biggest festivals in the country including Sunburn – India’s biggest dance festival. Skip has also left his mark on Go:Madras, Fete de la Music (Chennai), and some of the biggest venues in the country.

He is also part of a live electronic act, BLaNK that won the MTV Ultimate DJ Championship in 2010, which took them to UK’s leading festival, Bestival in 2011 to play for a 55,000 strong audience.

In addition to this, DJ Skip also dedicates his time to teaching his craft to young, aspiring talent by conducting DJ workshops at colleges and acting as guest lecturer at SAE (School of Audio Engineering) Institute, Chennai. He is also the co-founder of The Exodus DJ Academy, Chennai, and The Urbanatic School of DJs, Delhi.

Best known as Indias #1 Turntablist and also voted as "India’s Best HIP-HOP DJ” by My Fav DJ Awards a couple of years ago.

In 2017 DJ Kave was elected as senior vice president of H.A.I (HIP-HOP Association of India), He was also featured amongst the best DJ’s in India in the 2017 edition of Verve magazine.

He is the only Turntablist in India to be featured in the sensational Hip-Hop music video called the “All Stars Anthem” which featured some of the most talented Hip-Hop artists in the nation and was also featured on the Rising HIP-HOP Mixtape which was #1 on Apple music charts in 2017,he recently toured in the U.K to perform for a live concert and to promote the album in London at various studios including the BBC Network.

With over a decade’s experience and having been mentored by Rapper Blaaze DJ Kave is one of the most recognized names in the nightlife industry.

Having toured and performed across the globe with international artists at larger than life music festivals such as the KLIMF Music Festival ( Malayasia ), Sandance Music Festival ( Dubai) and “Yas Salam” Music Festival ( Abu Dhabi) which featured superstars such as Jason Derulo, Rita Ora, Pharrell Williams and many more.

DJ Kave is currently working with 2017 EMA winner Hard Kaur for her international shows in London, Hong Kong and Singapore apart from national concerts.

He is also best known for touring with the Oscar winner and music maestro AR Rahman during his concerts which had an audience of over 50,000 people in 2009.
