Sashiko on Fabric — Advanced Session - Focus group
Take your Sashiko practice beyond paper and turn something you already own into wearable art.
In this intimate, hands-on session, you’ll work directly on fabric — a T-shirt, scarf, pair of jeans, tote, jacket, or any fabric piece you’d like to bring along.
There’s no need to sketch or transfer the design yourself. You’ll be given specially made stick-on Sashiko templates that make it easy to position your pattern and focus entirely on the stitching.
This is a small focus-group session with fewer participants, allowing for more individual guidance, experimentation and time with your piece. Expect a slow Sunday evening, thoughtful making and a room full of like-minded people.
What you’ll learn:
- How to stitch Sashiko neatly and confidently on fabric
- How to position and work with our custom stick-on Sashiko templates
- Techniques for clean stitching, spacing and finishing
- How to use Sashiko to customise, repair and transform clothes at home
What you’ll get:
- Close, individual guidance throughout the session
- Custom stick-on Sashiko templates to work with
- Multiple patterns + thread colours to choose from
- All stitching tools provided during the workshop
- A relaxed, intimate group to create alongside
What to bring:
Bring one fabric piece you’d love to transform - your favourite T-shirt, jeans, scarf, tote, jacket or simply a piece of fabric.
Spend your Sunday slowing down, stitching by hand and creating something completely your own.
Come with something you wear. Leave with something you made.
