Slow down, settle in, and make something beautiful for the festive season. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the basics of Sashiko - a traditional Japanese stitching practice known for its calm, rhythmic patterns and beautifully functional style - with a playful festive twist.
You’ll stitch a custom cover on an A5 blank diary provided during the workshop, choosing from a range of Sashiko patterns and thread colours. Alongside stitching, you can embellish your piece with tiny mirrors, glass embroidery elements and festive details, adding your own personality to the design.
We’ll also have cowrie shells and threads to create a small handmade bookmark, giving you another little keepsake to take home.
It’s a slow, analogue art session filled with texture, colour and festive details — part craft, part mindfulness, and wildly satisfying.
