Kodaikanal Backpacking & Camping

Overview: Kodaikanal is a city near Palani in the hills of the Dindigul district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Its name in the Tamil language means "The Gift of the Forest". Kodaikanal is referred to as the "Princess of Hill stations" and has a long history as a retreat and popular tourist destination. Kodaikanal Main Town covered with mist. Kodaikanal was established in 1845 as a refuge from the high temperatures and tropical diseases of the plains. Much of the local economy is based on the hospitality industry serving tourism. Kodaikanal is at the crown of the Palani Hills and is effectively surrounded and protected by thick forests.

Itinerary:
Day 0: Overnight journey from bangalore
Day 1: Reach campsite 8am, freshen up have breakfast, have short trek to check dam by 10am and back to campsite by 3pm.
Enjoy the dip in lake with life jackets provided.
8pm dinner followed by bonfire and retire for the day.
Day 2: Visit nearby waterfalls, visit kodaikanal sight seeing till 5pm and depart to bangalore. Reach bangalore around 4am-5am.

Things to carry: 3 pair of clothes, water bottle, personal medications, necessary toiletries, snacks/energy chocolates, shoes/sandals
Cost includes: Transportation, accommodation (tented with sleeping bags provided), 2 breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 dinner, coordinator charges, 1st Aid,
Cost excludes: Lunch/dinner during travel, any entry charges on final day of sight seeing, personal expenses.

Basic amenities camping area.
Drop locations remains same as pick up points from below.
Life jackets provided to get down in lake.
Strictly no alcohol.
No loud music.
