The Kalamkari Workshop at Hobby Ghar offers participants an opportunity to explore one of India’s oldest and most detailed traditional art forms through a guided, hands-on painting session.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of Kalamkari, including traditional motifs, flowing patterns, balanced composition, and narrative design elements. The workshop focuses on understanding outlines, color movement, and the layering techniques that give Kalamkari its distinctive visual style.
With step-by-step guidance from an expert artist and the support of traditional design references, even beginners can confidently create a complete Kalamkari-inspired artwork. All required materials, including canvas or paper and painting tools, are provided. Each participant will take home a finished artwork that reflects both personal creativity and cultural heritage.
