Born in Arunachal Pradesh and raised in Assam, Ashi found herself drawn to music from an early age. Growing up, she never saw music through the boundaries of genre — Western pop, Indian music, old classics or contemporary sounds, if something moved her, she listened.
That openness continues to shape her as an artist today.
Ashi is a student of Hindustani Classical music and is constantly exploring ways to push her voice beyond what feels familiar. She enjoys challenging herself with different styles and compositions, always looking for something new to learn and a little more to discover in her own voice.
