Dauwd creates music with complexity most contemporary producers shy away from. Found sounds are thickly laden over multi-timbred synths. Vocal and instrumental stabs punctuate organic and evolving passages guided always by driving percussion and immaculate low-end production. His productions are full and intricate with a wealth of sounds building warm atmospheres that are unusual within dance music.

Bio :

Shamanta Chandran is a Syrian-born, East-Indian Canadian Producer/ DJ Singer/Songwriter based out of Toronto. Formally trained in opera and jazz vocal music, Shamanta has been evolving her sound for 10 years, mastering the art of modular and analog synthesis. Her performances deliver a range of raw and sultry sounds with everything from hip-hop, to deep house, and techno. She has made her mark in the Toronto underground and warehouse music scene performing live PAs and DJ-ing in and around Toronto.

Past shows include: The Toronto Sound Festival, DesignTO Festival, Promise Cherry Beach, Vertigo, Sous Bas Night Club (Hamilton) and many more. Currently signed under Toronto’s ORO Records label run by the renowned MSTRKRFT.

Afterworx, an off-shoot of Beatworx Studio was formed with a motive to nurture the burgeoning electronic music scene in India. We curate weekly properties and nights across venues in associations with other local crew brewing a melting pot of great music, ambience and experience.

Music has always been the primary motivation and backbone here at Beatworx studio, we see ourselves as a collective of free thinkers, who strive to propagate art from diverging fields.

Founded by Ashwin and Ashrith(Audio Units) in 2012 who have been at the backdrop of the music scene for over a decade, our team here at Beatworx has grown organically, providing a platform for our fellow students as a closely-knit community bound together by an undying passion for music.
