Channagiri Trek, a lesser-known day trek just 50 KMs away from Bengaluru. One of its kind trek that gives you beautiful panoramic views of the Skandagiri & Nandi Hills from the peak, with the trail dotted with huge boulders, shrubs and steep climbs testing your fitness. Atop the peak is an ancient Omkareshwara temple and is the source of the North Pinakini river.
Rising 4,478 ft above sea level, the trek starts from Chanapura village and offers a challenging hike through the volcanic boulders and dry forests of the Deccan plateau, which would be intriguing for the beginners and another interesting trail for the experienced ones. A surprise awaits you when you walk through the trail, an interesting water body in the middle of nowhere and a sneak peek into a vineyard!
