Funkmonks

Funkmonks is a Bangalore-based four-piece blues-rockband formed in late 2019. Shortly after coming together,the band was forced into an unexpected hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving their journey temporarily on hold. In 2023, they reunited with renewed energy and picked up right where they had left off.Drawing inspiration from the golden era of rock and blues, Funkmonks brings to life classics from the '60s and '70s. Their influences include iconic artists such as Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Alvin Lee, Black Sabbath, and The Beatles. Blending soulful blues with the power and energy of classic rock, Funkmonks delivers performances that are both authentic and electrifying. Their sound stays true tothe raw roots of the blues while adding a modern edge,  creating a live experience that resonates with audiences across generations.
Since its inception, the band has performed at numerous venues across Bangalore, building a strong presence in the city's live music scene.
