Clothing and footwear
 

• One jacket/ windcheater as a backup when you are atop a hill or if it gets too windy.
• Raincoat/ poncho will be your permanent companion
• Carry a pair of walking shoes, something you are comfortable walking in and don’t mind making it wet
• Personal medication for allergies etc.
• Tissue rolls for Mawphanlur( just in case, they run out of toilet paper)
• Quick dry towels-You can buy them at Travoost.com, we have personally tried it and find it much better than the Decathlon ones (kalenji). And yes you can use *this code " chalohoppoten" to get a discount as well.*
• Basic toiletries and tissue rolls (if you need)for Nongriat
• Headlamps/ Torches with batteries (compulsory)
• Non-disposable water bottle (please avoid buying mineral water during your Meghalaya trip. Even at the resorts and hotels ask them for regular water. It is pure and tastes great. Help us in eliminating the use of plastic as much as possible.)

The ideal kit for your trip
 

• We recommend that you carry a 60-litre backpack for your convenience but a trolly bag will also do as there are no real hikes.
• Nongriat( Double Decker): Do carry a separate smaller bag(10 to 15 litres) for your trek down to Nongriat village only to reduce the weight on your shoulders and make the trek easier. (compulsory)

• Playing cards and small board games, in case you don't feel sleepy at night
• Bottle openers
