In celebration of - GANDHI - 150 YEARS - i.e., the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi (Gandhi's Birthday - 2nd October), we are inviting you to an educational seminar:
“Gandhi & Tolstoy: Start with Yourself” on 6th October 2018, from 10:30 am to 12.30 pm, at India International Center, Seminar Room #2.
The event is organized by Russian House Foundation & Shanti Sahyog – a Gandhian NGO.
During the seminar, you will learn more about the world-famous leaders, Gandhi & Tolstoy, about their lives, friendship, beliefs, and much more.
Our Guest Speakers Dr. Suman Khanna Aggarwal, a Gandhian Scholar & Dr. Girish Munjal Assistant Professor in Russian at the University of Delhi, will share the insights of the non-violence philosophy, Gandhi’s & Tolstoy’s views, their beliefs and perceptions and the implementation of their philosophies in everyday life.
2018 - Volunteers' Year in Russia, focuses on Gandhi's & Tolstoy's contribution and support for all people who need help. It encourages people to be kind to one another and to support the needy.
This is a charitable event. However, we are kindly asking for a contribution of Rs 500/- per person (Rs 250/- for students) as a donation at the event. All the proceeds will go towards the Fun Art Project (painting of the classrooms in Shanti Sahyog Pre-School, Kalkaji), which will take place on November 3rd-4th. Sponsorship & volunteering is welcomed. Gandhi's 150th Birth Anniversary is an important historical moment which we are celebrating!
