Day 0 – 21st Nov

Day 1 – Reach Guwahati and travel to Shillong
Book your train/ flight to Guwahati as the trip will begin from here. (Plan and make advanced bookings to avail lower ticket prices.) The trek leads from Plan The Unplanned will meet you there once you arrive. Try to reach early, as we shall have to travel to Shillong that day itself. We’ll stop somewhere midway for lunch. Reaching Shillong, we’ll check-in the hotel and later in the evening, we can hop around the market, visit the golf course, etc.
Get to know your fellow travelers over dinner, and later, sleep comfortably!
Day 2 – Travel to Mawphanlur
After breakfast, we’ll depart from Shillong to Mawphanlur, which is a picturesque hamlet in West Khasi Hills of Meghalaya located at a distance of around 90KM. On the way, we shall stop for a quick visit to see Kyllang Rock. Once we reach and check-in at the hotel in Mawphanlur, we shall go out to explore the hills & valleys, soaking in the serenity of the place.
Day 3 – Travel from Mawphanlur to Mawlyngbna
In the morning, we’ll go for kayaking in Mawphanlur and later, we’ll depart for our next destination. On the way, we can either visit Hot spring or Nongsynrih Rock. We’ll stop for lunch on the way and reach our destination by evening. Check-in at Mawlyngbna guest house followed by evening tea. There will be arrangements for a bonfire, and you can enjoy it with your fellow travelers. Dinner will be served by 8:30 PM.
Day 4 – Exploring Mawlyngbna
Today, we’ll be staying at Mawlyngbna and exploring this pristine village. This is a hidden gem in the state of Meghalaya. It is famous for its rich fossils and natural geysers. After breakfast, we shall head out for a trek to see the fossils of starfish, the ‘iew lu ri lu ra’ (a Khasi folklore), and the ‘um di kain’ waterfall. The place offers a variety of tourist activities such as trekking through the forest, kayaking, fishing and more! After lunch, we can go for a Nature walk, Canyoning, kayaking, zip-lining at Um Khakoi Reservoir and visit the split rock.
We’ll be back by the evening, and unwind at the stay!
Day 5 – Travel to Nongriat
After breakfast, we shall depart from Mawlyngbna and continue our journey to Nongriat. On the way, we shall stop at the Nohkalikai Falls, which is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Its height is 1115 feet. We can also explore the striking natural Mawsmai cave, which is full of stalactites and stalagmites – and it’s one of the gorgeous things that you’ll ever see!
The Nongriat village is home to the much-anticipated 200-year-old, Double Decker Root Bridge. On reaching this natural bridge, you are bound to be awestruck by its sheer beauty and size. It was built patiently by the villagers over generations by guiding the roots across the river with support. It is named Double Decker because it comprises of 2 bridges stacked one over the other and can hold up to 50 people at once!
Once we reach the destination, you’ll have to hike down more than 3000 steps to reach Nongriat village, and seek rest in the homestay after an adventurous day!

Day 6 – Exploring the Rainbow Falls and travel to Wahkhen Village
After breakfast, we set off from Nongriat Village climbing for 1.5 hours to reach the Rainbow Falls. This trek takes immense grit and endurance as the path is made up of broken, uneven rocks and very dense forest. You will only have the sound of water and of insects as a source of comfort as you push yourself to trek towards the waterfall. When you catch the first glimpse of torrents of water falling at momentous speed and pounding a gigantic rock below, the tiresome trek will feel worth it. You know why? Because this fall is a true gift from nature – the sun’s rays hit the rock to reflect a miraculous rainbow on both sides and you will think your eyes are deceiving you!
We’ll continue our journey to Wahkhen village, where we’ll have our lunch and then, go for an evening walk around the village and interact with the villagers and hear the “Jingrwai iaw bei” which is a traditional practice of the villagers of having their name called in the form of tunes or a song. This is also one of the whistling villages on Meghalaya.

Day 7 – Trek to Mawryngkhang and Travel to Riwai
This morning, after breakfast, we shall start our trek to Mawryngkhang Which some people have called the scariest trek in Meghalaya! Soak in the beauty of nature as you explore these hidden trails. We’ll head off to take a dip in the clear river which is on the way back! After lunch, we shall depart from Wahkhen to Mawlynnong and explore the living roots bridge before reaching Riwai, where we’re going to spend the night. There will be arrangements for bonfire & dinner at Riwai as well.
Day 8 – Travel to explore the beauty of Dawki
We’ll set out for the next destination, and on the way, we’ll make a quick stop at Borhill waterfall! This quaint little village located on the India-Bangladesh border is home to the ravishing Umngot River. Being one of the cleanest rivers in India, when looked at from a distance the emerald waters fo the river looks transparent allowing you to see the river bed several feet below the surface. We’ve all seen pictures of a boat floating on transparent water on social media, now it’s time to see it for yourself! The other major attraction here apart from the extreme natural beauty and peace is the Dawki Bridge which is a suspension bridge over the Umngot River and that offers some spectacular panoramic views.

Day 9 – Explore Krangsuri waterfall and travel to Shillong
This is the last leg of our journey! After breakfast, we’ll set out and stop at the Krangsuri waterfall. Once you reach the waterfall, you have a viewpoint for amazing Instagramable photos! With waterfalls as blue as the sky itself, the Krang Suri falls are one of the most appealing waterfalls of Meghalaya. We’ll have lunch on the way and carry on with our journey to Shillong.
Tonight, we’ll get to party at a club in Shillong & enjoy the nightlife of this Far-East town!
Day 10 – Depart from Shillong & Travel to Guwahati
It’s time for goodbye! After a whirlwind week of trekking through the majestic hills of Meghalaya, it’s time to pack up and embark on the return journey to Guwahati. As we make our own ways back to the reality of our lives, we will never forget the experiences we shared together in the depths of the forest.
After breakfast, we’ll depart from Shillong.

6. Internet handling fee per ticket applied. Please check your total amount before payment.
7. Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
8. Unlawful resale (or attempted unlawful resale) of a ticket would lead to seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation.
9. Alcohol (if available) will be served only to guests above the legal drinking age (LDA) and on display of valid age proof.
10. In case a booking confirmation e-mail and SMS gets delayed or fails because of technical reasons or as a result of incorrect e-mail ID / phone number provided by the user etc, a ticket will be considered 'booked' if the payment has been processed by High Ape and you will have to contact our representatives for issue of tickets.
11. Arms and ammunition, eatables, bottled water, beverages, alcohol is not allowed from outside to the event. Food and beverages will be available inside the event.
12. Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the site may be searched.
13. Venues/Organizers are solely responsible for the service; availability and quality of the events.
