BFLAT presents Funky Flakes a feminist funk band from Gothenburg that started in the fall of 2014, lead by singer/songwriter Rebecka Lindstedt. The band consists of nine professional musicians and The Funky Flakes plays music written and/or performed by women, mixed with Rebecka's own compositions. The goal of the project is to present the music that has, for many people never been heard and let it be known that there were actually more women than active within the funk genre than what to most people have been known through history books and media.
