Celebrate your New Year 2019 inside the Jungle with the Monks on Wheels. That's not all, we take a dip in the less explored waterfalls , visit to 100 year old Malgudi days house along with an Island visit on a boat ride.

Experience a jungle camp! That is not all! We visit the place where the Malgudi days TV series was shot. This along with a visit to a hidden waterfall, a ride along rain forest in the western ghats and Monks on Wheels will take you back to your unforgettable school days to remind you what it is to experience being child again.

Malpe Beach of Karnataka is one of the unexplored beaches in India. Located at a distance of 66 kms from Mangalore and about 6 kms from Udupi, the Malpe Beach is an undefiled virgin beach. The beach has a never-ending coastline, which is surrounded by three rocky islands on the western side and an ideal destination for a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the city. 

Let us quickly get into the details of the event. 

Itinerary for the Event:

Day 0 (30 Dec 2018) 

Departure from Bangalore at around 10 PM.
(People are requested to have light dinner before departure.)

Day 1 (31 Dec 2018)

- Reach homestay, freshen up & Have breakfast.
- Drive to Hidden Koodluteertha Falls. 
- Trek (3 km) inside the thick forest to reach waterfalls. 
- Enjoy and play in magnificent Koodluteertha waterfalls.
- Have packed lunch.
- Visit the Legendary Malgudi Days House
- Return to the campsite
- Bonfire
- New Year Celebration
- Dinner 
- Tent stay in the Jungle.

Day 2 (1 Jan 2019)

- Wake up, freshen up & have breakfast
- Start journey to Malpe Beach. 
- Boat ride to the infamous St. Mary's Island.
- Have Lunch (self-sponsored)
-Head to Light House at Kapu Beach 
- Start return journey Bengaluru
- Have dinner (self-sponsored)

Day 3 (2 Jan 2019)

- Reach Bengaluru around 5 AM

Trek information:-
Koodluteertha: 3 km one way
Difficulty: Easy 

The trip cost includes :
1. Delicious Meals:- 2 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
2. Accommodation on sharing basis in Tents inside the jungle.
3. Campfire under a million stars(if weather permits)
4. Visit to Koodluteertha Falls
5. Visit to St. Mary's Island
6. Boat ride charges
7. Forest entry charges.
8. Visit to Light house at Kapu Beach
9. Guide charges
10. First Aid kit in case of emergencies. (We hope we don't have any)
11. Two or more dedicated Team members from Monks on Wheels with you throughout the journey.

Exclusions:-
Transportation & Fuel costs and other things not mentioned above.
Lunch & Dinner on Day 2.

Note:-
1) People can make their own transportation arrangements or we could do that for you. The transportation arranged by us will INCUR ADDITIONAL CHARGES.
2) We need a minimum of 10 people or the event might be cancelled with full refund.
4) Accommodation will be on sharing basis.
5) Due to unforeseen constraints by the Forest department, the itinerary might be changed.

The surroundings around the Home stay will make you feel very close to Nature.
We would like to reiterate & be understood that it is a no-frills nature retreat & not a luxury resort.

FAQs:

1. What kind of transport will be arranged and from where ?
A. Transport arranged by MW will be a mini bus with push back seats, to and fro Bengaluru

2. Where should i join if I come directly ?
A. Once your ticket is confirmed, we shall send you the location of the venue 2-3 days before the event.

3. What are the pick up points in Bengaluru ?
A. The pick up points will be conveyed 2-3 before the event once the final count is confirmed.
