This enchanting mountain around 422km from Bangalore, stands overlooking Western Ghats in Shimoga. Kodachadri has earned the name as the Cherrapunji of Karnataka, as it receives the highest rainfall, making the place look more enchanting, pure, and unsullied. Being the highest mountain range in the Shimoga district, Karnataka at an elevation of 1343m, makes the Kodachadri trip, a hot spot for activities like trekking, forest exploration, etc.
The Kodachadri hill is a Natural Heritage Site, which is part of the Western Ghats and forms a lovely backdrop to the famous Kollur Mookambika Temple.
Kodachadri Trek is known for the expanse of beautiful lush green rolling hills. The hills are covered in lush greenery and spread as far as the eye can see. Situated at a height of 5,735 feet, the grasslands with the Shola forest emerging are something you go on the trek of Kodachadri.
Kodachadri Peak in the Western Ghats forms the background of the auspicious Kollur Mookambika Temple. It is believed that thousands of years ago goddess Mookambika fought and killed the demon, Mookasura, at Kodachadri.

Know before you go for Kodachadri Trek
All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of arrival and entry.
ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered valid address proof.
Timings for meals will be specific which will be informed you by the guide.
Pay heed to the guidelines given by the trek leader or instructor in order to enjoy a safe and sound trekking experience.
Consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicating products is prohibited during the Kumara Parvatha trek.
The above pickup and timings as been selected based on the Bangalore traffic Jam and the timings will help the participants to reach on time to the campsite and maintain the time schedule of the trek.
Because of any reason natural or personal, if the trek or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed
The Kodachadri trekking takes place through an eco-friendly zone; we do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.
For safety purposes, a Kodachadri Trek is not recommended for women who are more than 3 months pregnant, anyone who has had major surgery, has a broken leg/arm, has chronic back or neck pains, etc.
The exact pick-up location and time will be confirmed after the booking.
