Agumbe - Waterfalls Tour || Monks on Wheels

Do you remember the times you felt excited about the holidays when you were in school ? 

Monks on Wheels brings back that reason for excitement with this trip to the thick forests of western ghats in Agumbe to explore the lesser known waterfalls.

Sounds fascinating isn't it? Experience a jungle camp! That is not all! We visit the place where the Malgudi days TV series was shot. This along with a visit to a hidden waterfall, beautiful view of the sunset, a ride along rain forest in the western ghats and Monks on Wheels will take you back to your unforgettable school days to remind you what it is to experience being child again.

Let us quickly get into the details of the event. 

Itinerary for the Event:

Day 0 

Departure from Bangalore at around 10 PM.
(People are requested to have light dinner before departure.)

Day 1

I) Reach homestay early in the morning, freshen up and Have breakfast.

II) Take a drive to the hidden Koodluteertha Falls. 

III) Trek (3 km) inside the thick forest to reach waterfalls. Enjoy and play in magnificent Koodluteertha waterfalls.

IV) Have packed lunch and Start the journey to Kundadri Hills which both a sunset and sun rise point.

V) Get blown away by the view of the sunset from Kundadri Hills.

VI) Return to the campsite inside the thick jungle for Bonfire, dinner and tent stay.

Day 2

I) We wake up early, freshen up, Start the trek (3 km) to Onake Abbi Falls.

II) Relax at the beautiful waterfalls.

II) Have breakfast and Return to Campsite and freshen up.

III) Head for an authentic lunch in the historic Malgudi Days house .

III) After Lunch start the return journey to Bangalore.

IV) Reach Bangalore around 11:30 PM

Trek information:-
Koodluteertha: 3 km one way
Onake Abbi: 3 km one way
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

The trip cost includes :
1. Delicious Meals:- 2 Breakfast, 2 Lunch, 1 Dinner
2. Accommodation on sharing basis in Tents inside the jungle.
3. Campfire under a million stars(if weather permits)
4. Visit to Koodluteertha Falls
5. Visit to Kundadri Hills
6. Visit to Onake Abbi Falls
7. Forest entry charges.
8. Guide charges
9. First Aid kit in case of emergencies. (We hope we don't have any)
10. Two dedicated Team members from Monks on Wheels with you throughout the journey.

Exclusions:-
Transportation & Fuel costs and other things not mentioned above.

Note:-
1) People can make their own transportation arrangements or we could do that for you. The transportation arranged by us will INCUR ADDITIONAL CHARGES.
2) We need a minimum of 10 people or the event might be cancelled with full refund.
3) We need a minimum of 5 bikes to organize a bike ride or else they have to reach the location provided by us on their own at the mentioned time.
4) Accommodation will be on sharing basis.
5) Due to unforeseen constraints by the Forest department, the itinerary might be changed.

The surroundings around the Home stay will make you feel very close to Nature.
We would like to reiterate & be understood that it is a no-frills nature retreat & not a luxury resort.
