Aayushi Karnik Trio: The Aayushi Karnik 3’o (Trio) was formed to experiment with sounds from minimal sources yet sound big. Making music with guitar, drums and bass, the band intends to explore various sounds taking influence from jazz, bebop, hip hop and blues. Theband comprises of Aayushi Karnik on guitar and vocals Legsang Sherpa on bass Sudhakar Prabhu on drums Aayushi Karnik - Guitars Aayushi Karnik is a guitarist from Surat, Gujarat and is mostly influenced by Blues,Gospel, Soul and Rock music. She has been playing and singing Blues since almost 4 years and has performed at venues like Mahindra Blues and NH7' Legsang Sherpa - Bass Currently, a music teacher at Greenwood High International School. Passed trinity college, London guitar grade 8 exams with distinction scoring 92/100 (year 2010). Played acoustic guitars for acoustic duo LAIDBACK and bass for jazz band DizzyHi8s. Sudhakar Prabhu - Drums Sudhakar started playing the Mridhangam at the age of 6 and started playing western percussions in school. He has performed with bands like The Chronic Blues Circus, Swarathma, Quasar, Bourbon Street, Turbulence and has played a variety of genres with a wide range of artists from Carnatic to Rock and Heavy metal and even Bhajans!! This exposure has given him a thorough knowledge and understanding of music making him one of the most flexible and versatile musicians around. His influences range from drummers like Anup Shastry, Ranjit Barot, Dave Weckl, Chris Coleman, Kara Coleman, Anika Nyles, Gavin Harrison, etc.
