Tarsar Marsar Kashmir Trek

Multiple days 10:00 AM - Tarsar Marsar · Pahalgam · Srinagar

Kashmir holds multiple beautiful options for trekking. Known for its serenity and poise, Tarsar Marsar is arguably the prettiest trek in the Kashmir region. The trek, which stretches over 47 km, magnificently switches landscapes from the boulders-strewn stretches, snow-fed lakes, sparkling rivers, mighty mountains, vast valleys, scenic meadows, flower sections, and heaven-like peaceful arena. The Tarsar Lake or Tar Sar is an almond-shaped alpine lake situated in Aru, Jammu, and Kashmir and separated by 4000 ft by Marsar Lake, popularly known as the twin sister of Tarsar lake for its similar nature. The elusive Marsar lake is almost always hidden under a shroud of clouds that waft their way through the U-shaped valley to settle above the lake finally.

The vast and lush green grassland makes this place alluring. Mud houses and shepherds’ flocks on the trail make the entire experience out worldly. Here is a brief itinerary of the Tarsar Marsar trek with Plan the Unplanned:
