Experience nature’s very own light show in the serene and mystical forests of Bhorgiri, near Bhimashankar! As the pre-monsoon season sets in, the dense forests come alive with thousands of glowing fireflies, creating an unforgettable spectacle.

These magical creatures, known as fireflies or lightning bugs, emit light through a natural process called bioluminescence, using it to attract mates. During this short seasonal window, entire trees and bushes seem to shimmer with tiny twinkling lights, offering a breathtaking view unlike any other.

Join us in the heart of the Sahyadri mountains for a night trek and witness this rare natural phenomenon in its full glory. Whether you're a nature lover, photographer, or adventure seeker – this is an experience not to be missed.

Itinerary

02:00 AM – Arrive at Bhorgiri Base Village.
02:15 AM – Introduction session & trail briefing by trek leader.
02:30 AM – Begin our guided jungle walk through Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary in search of glowing fireflies!
03:00 AM – Immerse yourself in the surreal experience of firefly sightings dancing through the forest canopy.
04:30 AM – Return to the campsite and enjoy a delicious late night Tea & Maggie.
05:00 AM – Depart for Pune with beautiful memories.
07:00 AM – Reach Pune.

In case a booking confirmation e-mail and SMS gets delayed or fails because of technical reasons or as a result of incorrect e-mail ID / phone number provided by the user etc, a ticket will be considered 'booked' if the payment has been processed by High Ape and you will have to contact our representatives for issue of tickets.

Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the site may be searched.

In certain circumstances, HighApe reserves the right to cancel the tickets owing to any internal reason which requires such action. In such cases, the customer will be provided full refund for the ticket within 7-10 working days.
