Andhar [अंधार] in Marathi means Darkness and Ban [बन] means jungle, so Andharban [अंधारबन] means The Forest where you will feel darkness during daytime you can call it as Dark Forest !

This is simple trail of around 13 kilometers passing through dense forest on the edge of valleys of Tamhini ghat … overlooking the waters of Kundalika river ..

Trek schedule: (PUNE)

06.00 am: Gather at Shivajinagar

06.30 am: Bus starts from Shivajinagar

08.30 am: Reach at Base village Pimpri

08.45 am: Breakfast

09.30 am: Trek starts with round of introduction and few instructions

01.00 pm: Break for lunch

Relax, explore, spend time, enjoy the view and make sure you will get the profile pic

02.00 pm: Trek continues

04.30 pm: Reach at base village

05.00 pm: Snacks

05.30 pm: Start return journey

8.30 pm: Reach at Pune

Trek cost includes:

Travel from Pune to Pune

Breakfast, lunch, tea and snack

Dinner

Bottled drinking water

Personal Expenses

Insurance of any kind

Medical hospitalization, evacuation and related expenses

Things to carry:

1. Two water battles ( 2 ltr at least)

2. Rain cheater

3. Ready to eat food (Biscuits, palm cakes, thepla)

4. Polythene bag to keep wet cloths

5. Extra pair of cloths

6. Good trekking/ sports shoes

7. Torch (Must)

8. Personal medicines (if any)

9. Cap, sunglasses, sun cream or cold cream, camera (Optional)

Note:

1. Toilet facility will not be Available.

2. Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that's illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.
