Event Description

Bhrigu Lake or Brighu Lake is a lake located at an elevation of around 4,300 meters (14,100 ft) in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located to the east of Rohtang Pass and is around 6 kilometers (3.7 mi) from Gulaba village.

It can be reached by trekking either from the Vashishth temple, which is famous for its hot water springs, which is close to the town of Manali or from Gulaba village. Actually, there is no settlement in Gulaba and is actually an area of the Pir Panjal mountain range. It is named after Maharishi Bhrigu.

Legend has it that the sage used to meditate near the lake and hence it has been rendered sacred; the locals believe that due to this the lake never freezes completely. This lake is held sacred to the sage, Brighu Rishi, a great saint of Indian history.

Day 1: DRIVE FROM MANALI TO GULABA | TREK TO ROHLAKOHLI

CAMPSITE

The ascend to Rohlakohli is moderate and will take around 3 - 4 hours to reach.
There are two streams on the way to the campsite (Chor Nallah and Kohli Nallah). Rohla Kohli is a beautiful campsite and offers amazing views of the Solang Valley.
Overnight stay in tents at Rohla Kohli Camp Site.

Day 2: TREK TO BHRIGU LAKE

Post breakfast start trek towards Bhrigu Lake.
It takes around 3 hours to reach Bhrigu. We will carry packed lunch and have it by the lakeside.
After lunch, we will descend to Rohla Kohli campsite and relax for the rest of the day.

Day 3: TREK BACK TO GULABA AND DEPARTURE

The last day trek will be a descent to Gulaba.
The trek is easy as it has a moderate descend throughout and will
take around 3-4 hours to reach Gulaba.
Ride to Manali and departure from Manali bus stand.

Terms & Conditions

1. Transfer of your bookings to other persons are not allowed, name mentioned at the time of confirmation are the only person will be allowed to travel.

2. Full payment of the trip cost has to be paid before the trip starts, pending payments may lead to cancellation of your trip.

3. No boarding without valid govt id. Your id will be checked before boarding.

4. Any given inclusion not availed by the client will not be refunded in any case.

5. Management shall not take responsibility for missing items during the trip, travelers have to take care of there luggage and belongings.

6. AC will be switched off on hills and during the waiting time. Also, during the trip, it will be driver’s discretion for putting off AC if the road and travel don’t support. This is for traveler’s safety as the route can be dangerous and vehicle may not be able to pull offload with AC running.

7. Departure time is given and is fixed. You have to report by that time, it’s on you to update your status to trip coordinator. Anyone missing the bus will not be entertained for refund etc and it will not be WanderOn’s responsibility. We will try to call you twice before departure.

8. We do not provide any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft or any other reason.

9. We shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the programme or expenses incurred-directly due to natural hazard, accident, the breakdown of machinery, equipment’s, transport, weather condition, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

10. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc.

11. May cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general well being.
