Ratangad – also called as “The Jewel Fort”, is located in Ratanwadi, in Bhandardara region of the state of Maharashtra. The fort is believed to be 2000 years old and serves as the origin of river Pravara (also called Amrutvahini). The view from top of this fort is definitely the most breathtaking. One can have a glimpse of neighboring forts of Alang, Madan and Kulang. The Bhandardara dam, Arthur’s lake along with the valley appears like a painting on canvas from top of Ratangad.
