Kavani Fort Trek

This fort is located on a hill near village Kavnai, in Igatpuri Taluka of Nashik district, India. The Kavnai village is well connected by road to Igatpuri. Igatpuri is 18 km from Kavnai. Village Kavnai is a religious place where Saint Dnyaneshwar rested for few days. Kavnai Fort is a hidden beauty in Nashik waiting to be explored! With a commanding view of the surrounding villages and also a lake on top. The fort embarks a small lake along with several temples dedicated to Goddess Parvati along with Lord Ganesha and Hanuman. The main entrance door of the fort still stands in a good condition. On entering the main doorway we can see a cave on the right hand side. We have to go via this route only to reach the fort top. On reaching the fort top we can see a small pond towards southern side of the fort. There are many dilapidated structures of mansion by the side of this pond. There is a bastion at the western end of the fort. Also a cistern is located near this bastion. Half-an hour is sufficient to wander over the fort top.

• 05:30 am Borivali
• 06:00 am Pritam Da Dhaba Dadar
• 6:30 am Teenhath Naka
• 9:30 am: Reach base Village
• 10.00 am: Freshen up and Breakfast
• 10:30 am: Introduction and Start The Trek
• 12:00 pm: Reach on the top and explore the Fort
• 01:00 pm: start descending
• 02.30 pm: Reach base Village and have lunch
• 3.30 pm Return Journey to Mumbai
• 8:00 pm Reach Mumbai

• Dear Participants if you are suffering from chronic condition ask advice to family doctor before join Trek/any adventure activity.
• Before join event bring your needful medicine as per your doctor suggestion
• All participant should be careful for bag and own things. If anything misplaced group leader/ Mumbai mountain Hiker will not be responsible.
• Any type of illegal activity, alcohol consumption, gambling, smoking are keep it away during and before the event.
• On the event leader decision will be final decision no argument will be entertain.
•  Please don’t garbage here and there on trek/event.
• We reserve all right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without any prior notice.
• Photographs were taken during the activity which can be used for publicity purpose.

Covid Safety Guidelines

• Stay at home if you are feeling unwell.
• Maintain at least 1 meter distance from others, and wear a mask.
• Cover a sneeze or cough with a tissue or bent elbow, and immediately dispose of tissue in a closed-lid bin. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
• Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, or with a hand sanitiser.
• Each member of the group (participants/leaders/ clients & staff) wears protective mask while on interaction with each other. Do carry few unused, disposable masks.
• It is strongly recommended to wear caps, full sleeves shirts and full trousers and shoes for adventure activities. It reduces exposure of your body parts.
• It should be ascertained from the participants that they are not residing / have not travelled in a containment zone and have not come in contact with any person who was tested positive in last 14 days.
• Ascertain whether any participant has any symptoms of Influenza like illness (ILI) like fever, dry cough, weakness, severe body ache etc. at the time of beginning of activity. If it is so then he/she should be asked not to participate activity.
