If you have had enough of the monotonous city life and are looking for a flavor of adventure to quench the thirst for adrenaline so here is the best place. Yes, everyone! HikerWolf is back with a bang. Hold on to your excitement, this is surely going to be adventurous!
As rightly said, “nature is one of the most underutilized treasures in life, it has the power to unburden hearts and reconnect to that inner place of peace”.
But why do we climb/trek?
Somewhere in between the bottom of the climb and summit is the answer to the mystery why we climb, and you know this is one of the places coincidently known as ‘Valley of suspense’. Located near the Kasara town of Maharashtra, it is the gem of a destination.
Since the rays of the sun do not even reach the base of the valley, it has earned the name, the Valley of Shadows. It is also an apt choice for those, who want to indulge in the thrill of trekking in some lesser-known place, away from the crowd.
It is one of the greatest canyons in the splendid setting of Sahyadri Western Ghats. The water carved
Valley is 200 ft deep and about 1.5 km long. It is located on the western side of the beautiful Bhandardara region, near Samrad village. The valley is surrounded with mighty Alang, Madan and Kulang, Ajoba & Kalsubai the highest peak in Maharashtra mountain ranges.
Yeah! It’s the valley of the suspense-Sandhan valley!

DAY 0: Friday – Leave from CSMT and Board the 22:50 Kasara Local.
DAY 1: Saturday – Sandhan Valley Descend Trek and Camping
DAY 2: Sunday – Ascend Trek
Detailed itinerary
DAY 0:
Get ready folk! Time to leave at night (via 22:50 Kasara local from CSMT) rather we better say, it’s time to commence our journey towards Bhandardara, Samrad village till the valley of suspense.
DAY 1:
Reach Kasara by 1:30 am and by local transport we will be reaching the base village. After breakfast and some rest set off with the guide to Sandhan valley with very important a short ‘khud ki taarif’ session. After all, embark on the breath-taking experience descending trek towards Sandhan valley!!! In between, we will do pet pooja [lunch] and continue to explore. Upon descend, you will come across Tarzan swing point, you will rappel and use a rope ladder after which there will be some cave crawling. You will slope down and hike among rock patches. The boulders at times become your enemies in the trek, but at the same time they are your friends supporting from side!
There will be water pools to wade in, followed by wide rocks and then you will reach the camping site. Woohoo! Your views will include Bann pinnacle, Ajoba hill, Kalsubai etc.
Here comes the best part. Any guesses?
Yes, it’s the most amazing night. (We know this trek excites you more with the added flavour of camping and here’s come the moment) Stay under five-billion-star hotel after delicious dinner.
DAY 2:
After this beautiful star gazing night, we freshen up and post breakfast we will descend towards Dehne village.
Here we end our trek with best of Sandhan valley memories and disperse at Asangaon station with HikerWolf’s remembrance!

3. People in an inebriated state will not be given entry.
4. Being only a ticketing portal, High Ape does not take any responsibility for the activities going on inside or outside the event, as the entire responsibility of it is of the organizer/venue.
5. Please go through the details on the Event Details Tab and the Checkout page thoroughly before booking the tickets, as the tickets which are NOT booked in compliance with it will not come in the ambit of discussion.
6. Internet handling fee per ticket applied. Please check your total amount before payment.
7. Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
8. Unlawful resale (or attempted unlawful resale) of a ticket would lead to seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation.
9. Alcohol (if available) will be served only to guests above the legal drinking age (LDA) and on display of valid age proof.
10. In case a booking confirmation e-mail and SMS gets delayed or fails because of technical reasons or as a result of incorrect e-mail ID / phone number provided by the user etc, a ticket will be considered 'booked' if the payment has been processed by High Ape and you will have to contact our representatives for issue of tickets.
11. Arms and ammunition, eatables, bottled water, beverages, alcohol is not allowed from outside to the event. Food and beverages will be available inside the event.
12. Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the site may be searched.
13. Venues/Organizers are solely responsible for the service; availability and quality of the events.
