BLOT! is the Basic Love Of Things – a one of a kind experience presented by Gaurav Malaker. Since he began making music in 2007, BLOT! has gone from a more straightforward live dance act to a more multi-disciplinary experience. The producer has delivered an inspiring run of music releases in his career spanning six years, as well as immersive audiovisual sets and innumerable art installations in India and abroad.

Malaker has also amassed a considerable and loyal fan base within the country, which is rivaled by few. BLOT!’s club act combines deep, emotive electronica with live video sampling. 2013 saw the release of its debut album ‘Snafu’, released via Universal Music India to positive reviews from both fans and industry professionals. BLOT! Made a stylistic leap forward with the album, expanding his alter-ego’s sonic vocabulary far beyond his previous incarnation as a minimal techno act, into something unique and idiosyncratic. The New Delhi-based producer and DJ have traveled the globe and exploring urban culture through music, art, installations and other projects all over the world.

BLOT! is also one of the names responsible for pioneering, interdisciplinary festival UnBox and underground electronica label – Qilla Records. BLOT! has performed at legendary venues and festivals across the wold including Trsor and Bar25 (Berlin), Nuits Sonores (Lyon) and at London’s South Bank Centre in his years making music. BLOT! was recently voted into the GQ 50 Most Influential Young Indians list, won the VH1SoundNation award for best electronic act 2014, INCA Best DJ Delhi 2016 as well as a double win at the MyFav Awards for Artist Of The Year & Techno DJ of 2016.
