Arjun Vagale 

Widely celebrated as the pioneer of techno in India, Arjun Vagale steers the course of the country’s expanding underground electronic movement.

Known for his intense, driven and raw sound, Arjun is one of the most prolific artists to come out of Asia, and as one of India’s most acclaimed DJs, his cutting-edge productions have seen a massive global reach. A man with a serious passion for the underground, he has received numerous awards for his DJing and production skills, as well as being named one of “Asia’s finest Underground Music Exports.”

An artist, DJ, producer, live act, label owner, radio show host, and all-round music entrepreneur: it’s hard to pin him down. When he’s not touring incessantly, Arjun spearheads India’s premier electronic music school, I Love Music Academy, and co-owns UnMute Agency, which manages India’s finest underground talent. Along with Ramiro Lopez, he is the driving force behind Odd Recordings, a futuristic Indo-Spanish cross-pollinized record label that’s creating a massive buzz with ravers and industry folk alike.

 Murthovic 

Sri Rama Murthy aka Murthovic is an independent Electronic music composer, sound designer and dj who has been working in the electronic music field for the last 18years. He acquired his basic compositional skills in Western Classical music from Hyderabad western music foundation and currently is learning Carnatic music, apart from dj gigs at various clubs and festivals across the country.

While his background in music is diverse, his educational background is as interesting. His is an Gold medalist, environmental engineer who was pursuing his PhD. As his experience and exposure in the electronic music world started widening, he became a full time musician. For the last five years, Murthovic has been exploring various forms of electronic music in his productions and sets , wherein he uses a hybrid organic/ digital process of recording composing and performing his music. 

Murthovic’s history with dance music goes back to late 90s when he used produce events under the banner Frequency, Arttaxi, wherein he was instrumental in bringing lots of electronic music talent from India and offshore.

If some day in the future, if someone were to study the evolution of electronic music in Hyderabad, Murthovic’s contribution as one of the chief influencers will never go unnoticed. His relentless passion has seen him evolve his style of electronic music which is gravitated towards both indian and western music ideologies and practices.
