Aggressive Tendencies V 2.0 - Primitiv, Godless, Hostilian

Primitiv:

Primitiv is a five-piece death/doom metal band hailing from Mumbai. Featuring members of Albatross and Killibrium, Primitiv unearth a form of music that can only be called primitive. One of the most active bands in the live circuit around the country, Primitiv lay waste to poseurs peddling in anything less than catastrophically heavy like they do.

The music is as morbid, crude and old school as it can get, and at the same time, it marks a cyclic evolution for the genre as a whole, as it retraces the roots of the genre and sets out afresh to carve a path that's only half as familiar - a second life given to the genre of death metal, set in the primal proto-death/doom period, but finding relevance today in the soulless mechanical era.

This is where pure brute force meets suspenseful exploration and gives new hope for the future of the style. Other bands are old school. They are Primitiv.

Godless:

Godless is a four-piece Thrash/Death metal band from Hyderabad and is well-known for being one of the most active and relentlessly tight bands in the country. Combined with their cold, dark and morbid imagery, Godless demolish everything their path with their ruthless, aggressive and unforgiving brand of extreme metal. Godless signed a record deal with the label Transcending Obscurity and released their debut EP “Centuries Of Decadence” in 2016 and toured the country aggressively in support of it.

The EP was met with rave reviews from all over the world and was rated as one of the best releases across India on various websites and magazines globally including Rolling Stone and Terrorizer. In 2017, the band embarked on what was one the biggest metal tours held in India alongside Psycroptic from Australia. Godless has also supported Behemoth, Jeff Loomis (US) and Mindshift (Sweden).

The band will be representing India at the Wacken Open Air this year.

Hostilian:

With the lineup complete in April 2016, Hostilian launched their debut EP in 2017. Lots of new original material is being written by the band and from what has already been written, it is hard to classify the style/genre of metal that the band is inclined to. One thing sticks out though heavy groove.
