Experience camping in Sakleshpur on a 100 acre paddy field located a couple of minutes away with the mighty Hemavati river. Camp under the stars with an uninterrupted view of the horizon. There's much to do around our campsite but it's also perfect for lazy do-nothing weekend. Come let us show you some old school Sakleshpur hospitality
Karnataka’s more famous weekend getaways— Sakleshpur is permanently swathed in robes of emerald and jade. Its slopes are filled with Arabica and Robusta coffee plantations, gorgeous waterfalls, and trekking routes to suit all abilities.
For those who like to spend vacations reading, dozing off, and living the life of a bean bag.
Others who prefer more invigorating weekends can spend their time trekking the Western Ghats, snooping for orchids, colourful frogs, and the numerous species of birds that live here.
Some things to do around our campsite:
The Western Ghats are filled with hiking trails. Some weave their way through the thick of the forest, filled with gurgling streams and intimate waterfalls that attract a bevy of colourful bugs and frogs (watch out for leeches though). Others ascend quickly past the forest of trees to the smooth grass-topped peaks. These hikes are relatively tough, but the feeling of the wind whipping through your hair and the clouds at your feet is well worth the effort. We give a thermos full of filter coffee to take with you—it’s a cuppa you’ll never forget.
If you’re an off roader we have a treat for you - for the first time, in Sakleshpur you will have the chance of off-roading through a waterfall, literally!
Whether it is the rough ride of Murkan Gudda, swimming in the man-made lake or the breath-taking panoramas from Kallu Gudda - you can explore an endless range of hills and valleys while off-roading in Sakleshpur. The terrain is typical of the Western Ghats and presents an exciting challenge for beginners as well as advanced off-roaders.
While you can do your own exploring, there are tracks that have already been identified. One such track leads you right to the top of Murkan Gudda and is six kilometers long; this one would require a fair degree of skill and experience on the part of the driver.
