Brace yourself as we bring you a Monks on Wheels exclusive event for an ultimate experience to VARKALA. We take you on the most amazing tour for 2N/3D to the unique beach town backed by the marvelous red cliffs, a peaceful canoe boat ride through the serene backwaters surrounded by lush green coconut plantation and one of a kind water experience doing Stand Up Paddle & Kayaking to an island which is once believed to have been used to hide gold.

Sounds exciting right? Add the Monks on Wheels hospitality & entertainment to it and you'll have the most spectacular experience worth cherishing for a lifetime.

Let us quickly get into the details of the event.

Note:-
1) People have to make their own transportation arrangements(car/bike/public transport).
2) Accommodation will be on sharing basis in a hostel
3) Max No: 20 Pax
4) Beds or Tents will be given on first cum - first basis.

The hostel has basic amenities with neat and clean washrooms.
We would like to reiterate & be understood that it is a no-frills nature retreat & not a luxury resort.

Things required for the event:-

2. Raincoat (in case it rains)
3. Torch
4. Personal Medical kit
5. Extra pair of clothing
6. One cover sheet
7. Carry bag
8. Jackets or sweaters
9. Trek shoes (any shoes with good grip)
10. Cap

Itinerary

Day 1

- Check-In to the Hostel at 12 Noon.
- Freshen up, Head out to have an authentic lunch at True Thomas.
- Start the journey towards Golden Island (Ponnumthuruthu) for Stand-Up Paddle/ Kayaking.
- Paddle/Kayak in the beautiful and calm backwaters to the magnificent Golden Island.
- Enjoy the most wonderful view of the sun set from the island.
- Return back to the hostel.
- Later try out the famous cafes (Darjeeling Cafe, Cafe italiano & Coffee Temple recommended) in Varkala for dinner(self-sponsored).
- End it all by overnight stay in the hostel/tents.

Day 2

- Wake up and have breakfast.
- Visit Kappil Beach
- Start journey to Munroe Island(2 hrs)
- Have lunch(self-sponsored) enroute.
- Reach Munroe Island and Hop on for a canoe ride through the lush green coconut trees.
- Enjoy the serene backwaters and click some amazing pictures.
- Visit Mayyanad Beach for sunset enroute while returning
- Return back to the hostel.
- Get ready for some barbecue, campfire & music.
- Leisure time to try out the variety of cuisines at some famous restaurants for dinner(self-sponsored).
- End it all by overnight stay in the hostel/tent.

Day 3

- Wake up early and try some surfing or play on the beach.
- Have Breakfast
- Check-out at 10:30 AM
- Go shopping in the famous north cliff at Varkala.
- Head back to Bengaluru.

FAQs

1. Where should we join, in case we are coming by our own transport arrangements ?
A: Once your registration is confirmed, we shall provide the exact location of our venue 2-3 days before the event.

2. Is there any age limit for the trip ?
A: We do not restrict on the age as each individual has their own capabilities. But we would strongly recommend you contact us so that our travel expert can give you a better idea of the trip.

3. What kind of events are these ?
A: These are group events open to all categories of people.

The trip cost includes :

a) Breakfast on Day 2 & 3

9. Canoe Ride charges in Munroe Island
10. First Aid kit in case of emergencies. (We hope we don't have any)

Exclusions:-
1. All transfers to bus stations or railway stations.
2. Lunch on Day 2 & 3 and Dinner on Day 1 & 2

4. Other things not mentioned above.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

1. If the notice is received up to 15 days prior to the event, 50% of the event amount paid shall be refunded.
2. All cancellation requests made 10 days prior or on the day of the event, no refund will be made.
