Think ( World Poetry Day Celebration ) - Curated And Open Mic

The idea behind celebrating World Poetry Day is to promote the reading, writing, publishing and teaching of poetry throughout the world and, to "give fresh recognition and impetus to national, regional and international poetry movements".

With the same moto, we invite you all to celebrate the World Poetry Day with us with a Curated & Open Mic Poetry and Storytelling event.

Hosted by Saurabh Kumar, you will enjoy performances by 4 amazing poets ( in Hindi, English and Kannada ).
Also 10 open micers will get a chance to share stage with them.

About the Host:
 

Saurabh Kumar:
Saurabh is a Marketing guy by profession but a Writer by Passion. He has written many Poems, Songs and Scripts and has worked on many content writing projects. Saurabh has won various awards for his scripts, songs, theatres and short movies scripts.

Artists:

Varun Ram Iyer:
Varun Ram Iyer wrote 'My Brother With a Bloodied Nose', the poem about Wing Cdr Abhinandan that went viral recently. When not putting pen to paper and churning out poetry and prose about contemporary India, he earns his keep as a Strategy Consultant. Varun lives in Basavanagudi, old Bengaluru and believes that someday we'll find a solution to Silk Board that does not involve Steel Flyovers, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and other such bad words. 

Faiz Akram:
Faiz Akram is an engineer by profession working in his own startup,a nazm-nigar by passion and a student of Urdu Litrature. He has been featured at several hindustani poetry events across Bengaluru, including Sham-e-Rekhta,Mehfil by Lahe-Lahe, Kavi-Sammelan by DPS Bangalore and Jalsa by YourQuote. He is a regular performer at Anjuman and Let Poetry Be by Atta-Galata from last few years.

Vishnu Pathak:
Came from the land of Lord Buddha ( Bodhgaya ), Vishnu Pathak has been staying in Bangalore from 8+ years. He is an engineer by profession but poet by heart.
For Vishnu, it was never about writing poems at first. Journey started reading them as a pastime. He will read a poem, get to know the poet/poetic form, then will get a link to new set of poems and will move on. He has been exploring poets and poems in different languages from across the globe, currently the interest being on middle east style of writing.
In the process of reading, poetry started knocking his doors and he started scribbling too. Hindi is the language that Vishnu has selected for his poems.

Radha Kinhal:
With an experience of writing over 2500 plus episodes of story script, dialogue writing in the tele screen field, Radha Kinhal has worked with various known directors like T.N Sitarama, R.N Jay Gopal, Bhargava etc for various tele serials like Kategara, Manvantara, Janani etc as a story, screenplay and dialogue writer.
The title lyric written for the serial Manvantara by Radha received the award as the best Title Song of the Year. Radha writes poem in Kannada.

Aarthi Ratnam

With a head full of questions and a heart full of emotions, Aarthi Ratnam finds herself extremely comfortable to pen down her thoughts in a strange and abstract form, which turned into poetry. In her constant quest to find meaning in life, she found herself also trying to understand the meaning of her own inner thoughts which led to the basis of her book, 'Heaven is Everywhere but Here'.
Aarthi graduated in humanities with a range of serious subjects such as economics to more emerging subjects like media and political science connecting both. She currently works as a content writer.

Curated performance will be followed by an Open Mic where 10 open micers will be given chance to perform on stage.

Kindly Note:
Open Mic Registrations are first come first basis.
Even artist will be given 5 mins
There is no restriction on the language to perform.
