Ride to Yagachi And Water Sports || Monks on Wheels

Monks on Wheels in collaboration with KSTDC (Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation) presents to you Ride to Yagachi, a 2-day experience of thrilling water sports, scenic bike ride, and a glimpse of history.

Yagachi is a small yet beautiful site, thanks to the majestic Yagachi river and the famous Yagachi Dam: A splendour of a destination. Be absolutely mesmerized by the natural beauty of the landscape.

Betta Byraveshwara Temple is located atop Pandavar Gudda Hill and is considered approximately 600 years old. The temple is nestled in the beautiful Western Ghats and offers a panoramic view of the landscape.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 (Saturday)

1) We say bye to Namma Bengaluru at around 6 AM.
2) A short stop for Breakfast enroute at Hotel Mayura (Unlimited Food Menu).
3) Visit the elegant Shettihalli Church.
4) Continue the ride and reach Hotel Mayura Yagachi of KSTDC at Belur
5) Check-in to your rooms and freshen up.
6) Have sumptuous lunch (Unlimited Veg & Non Veg) at the hotel.
7) Take a small ride to Yagachi dam.
 Go all in and enjoy the various adventurous water sports at Yagachi Dam.
9) Return back to the hotel.
10) Freshen up for some tea and piping hot snacks.
10) Gather around for the campfire (if weather permits)
11) Warm-up, indulge in activities, or dance the evening away, hosted by our fun-experts.
12) Dig into a traditional dinner which is unlimited! (Veg & Non-veg)
13) Sleep like a baby overnight on twin-sharing AC rooms with attached bathrooms.

Day 2 (Sunday)

1) Wake up to the sounds of nature to a steaming hot cup of coffee.
2) We ride into the beautiful ghats to visit the famous Bettada Byraveshwara Temple to relive the historic significance of this Temple.
3) Return back to the hotel
4) Enjoy the morning breakfast.
5) Return back to your rooms, get ready and check-out at 11am.
7) Start the return journey to Bengaluru
Visit the lesser known architectural marvel Veernanarayana Swamy Temple.
Stop for some delicious lunch enroute (Unlimited on Food menu)
9) Reach Namma Bengaluru in the night (around 9 PM) with memories of a lifetime!

Dinner of Day 2, Transportation, Fuel & Personal expenses, and other things not mentioned above.

Important Information.
1) Participants would have to make their own transport arrangements (bike/car) or can join us in the common transport we arrange (car/tempo).
2) Monks on Wheels organisers will have radio communication device as a part of safety measure.
3) Total ride distance will be approximately 500 km
4) Accommodation will be in AC premium rooms on twin sharing with attached bathrooms.
5) A Whatsapp group will be created 2-3 days before the event where all the necessary information like things to carry, assembly point, time etc will be provided.
6) We need a minimum of 6 people to conduct the event or the event might be cancelled with full refund.
7) In an extremely rare scenario, due to unforeseen incidents like natural calamities, road blocks etc. or restrictions by the government or forest department, the itinerary might be changed/modified depending on the situation.

COVID-19 Safety & Guidelines:

Before the event:
1) Only register for the event if you don’t have any symptoms of COVID-19 from the past 14 days.
2) Try to avoid crowded places as much as possible once you register for the event.
3) If you develop COVID-19 symptoms after registering for the event, please do not join the event.
4) MW organizers will be checked for temperature and any symptoms of COVID-19 before joining the tour.
5) Age should be in the range of 18-48 years to join the event.

During the event:
1) Participants will be checked for their body temperature and pulse rate before the start of the event. Anyone with a fever/flu like symptoms, temperature and pulse rate above/below the average range will not be allowed to join the trip.
2) Meals during the journey will be provided at a good and hygienic restaurant. Participants may carry their own plate/lunch box/spoon for all meals provided during the trip.
3) Participants are expected to sanitize themselves regularly and wear masks at all possible times.
4) Avoid interaction with other groups or people outside of the event group.
5) If a participant develops COVID-19 symptoms during the journey, only then that person will be isolated, taken to the nearest hospital, and arrangements for that person to return will be made. No one will be allowed to accompany that person.
6) Valid ID proof to be carried.

Rules and instructions for the ride:
1. Helmet is Mandatory for both Rider and pillion.
2. Riding gear is highly recommended.
3. Drink and Drive strictly prohibited.
4. A leader and Sweeper will be assigned. All the riders have to stay between the two.
5. All riders need to get their license and vehicle documents.
6. Only bikes of 150cc and above are allowed.
7. Make sure your bike is serviced and in good condition.
8. Attempting stunts, rash driving and not following the above instruction will lead to direct removal from the group.

The surroundings around the Home stay will make you feel very close to Nature.
