Get an experience of working & interacting with UNESCO Awardee Artist from Puri Pattachitra - literally meaning cloth painting. The simple word belies the rich complexity of this centuries-old religious art. Originating in Odisha, this art form traditionally depicts Hindu deities and other religious motifs on cotton cloth using vegetable, earth and stone colours.
The art of the Gods is coming to your homes this Sunday straight from the renowned artists' village of Raghurajpur. Spend two hours with an award-winning Pattachitra artist - Akshaya Kumar Bariki, who won UNESCO award for his efforts to revive the dying art form. You have the chance to follow along as he depicts an image of Krishna with the traditional detailed touched. WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE THE SESSION * A4 white drawing sheets * Few rough papers * Pencils / Eraser / Sharpener * Color marker/acrylic pen * Colors ( Any water-based - Poster / Fabric / Acrylic etc) and Brushes (0/1/2/3 number)
PRE WORK BEFORE THE SESSION * Upon registration, You would be provided with an outline of the art piece so that you can prepare that before the session & can learn the finer aspect of the art form along with the artist!
*In 4 hours session, one can get the experience of how to learn this art digitally from the expert artists. To learn this complex art further, we have 4-5 days session for adults and longer sessions for kids. Pls, contact us at [email protected] to know more about these sessions.
