Kumara Parvatha at an elevation of 1,712 m (5617 ft) above Mean Sea Level (MSL) is the sixth highest peak of Karnataka and 31st overall in the Western Ghats. It is one of the most popular and scenic trekking trails in the Western Ghats which is cherished by trekkers and nature lovers.
The Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary has located 36 Km from Somwarpet and 1.5 km from Kumaralli, it is located amid the jungle. Trekking can be done from the base, Bhagati, which is a 10 km, 3-4-hour trek. The trekking zone can be approached from Pushpagiri – Somwarpet side or from Kukke Subramanya side.

ITINERARY:
Day 0: Travel from Bengaluru to Somwarpet.
Day 1: Day in Coorg
Freshen up. Have authentic Coorg style breakfast at our hostel carry packed lunch and head to the Eastern Approach via Beedehalli (Somwarpet side). Check-In at the Forest Check Post. Start our trek towards the Peak. On the trail, one can expect a jungle terrain with numerous freshwater streams which are full of minerals. It is on this route, we scale to the summit of the mountain with a bird’s eye view of the mountain range. After having lunch at the summit we descend back towards somwarpet sides and head back to the hostel have dinner around the campfire and engage in some games or play some music.

Day 2: Return
We start this day early in the morning after waking to an amazing cup of Coffee which is grown in the estate and have breakfast. After breakfast, one can take a walk in the numerous coffee and Pepper Plantations around the hostel and explore the true beauty of Coorg. We can also visit the Golden Temple in Bylakuppe which is a Buddhist monastery for some shopping, have self-sponsored lunch and head back to Bangalore.
