Creating Minimap In Unity

Unlike many courses, this one is short (less than an hour and ten minutes), in which it deals specifically with a specific subject in a very detailed way. The purpose of this course is to solve a problem, the construction of the Minimap of a game, using explanations step by step.

Using a practical methodology, the student will use a basic project to start the activities, in which each video lesson will make it evolve.

The basic project made available in the course, was developed specifically for this activity. There will be a first-person scene in which the minimap (compass style) with its features proposed in this course will be added.

  • 4.3. Using the Input class
  • 4.4. Creating the map exchange function and the MinimapSetup class
  • 4.5. Adding variable levels and viewing on the panel
  • 4.6. Creating the map exchange function and the Minimap Setup class
  • 4.7. Implementing the map exchange function
  • 5. Added Transparency Control
  • 5.1. Creating the function to change transparency
  • 5.2. Adding the Canvas Group component
  • 5.3. Following the initial transparency setting
  • 6. Added Compass Connectivity
  • 6.1. Added update method
  • 6.2. Understanding the pseudo code
